Neuro and Nephro-Toxicity in Rats Topically Treated with Para-Phenylene Diamine
نویسنده
چکیده
Para-phenylene diamine ( PPD ) systemic intoxication in Saudi Arabia has been increased over the last decade. The aim of the this study was to provide more insight into PPD intoxication with reviewing possible underlying mechanisms. The topical treatment with PPD (2mg/kg) for 5 weeks and its subsequent withdrawal caused decreased in monoamines (noerepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin and histamine) content in all brain region (cerebellum, brain stem, striatum, cerebral cortex, hypothalamus and hippocampus) at different time intervals. Moreover, the present results indicated that treatment with PPD for 5 weeks and its subsequent withdrawal caused increased in serum urea and serum creatinine levels. In conclusion. PPD causes serious multisystem toxicity and its selling to public should be officially restricted to reduce poisoning by this agent.

Computational Computation of the Efferene Structure on the Para phenylene diamine
In this study, the effect of fullerene electron mobility on the composition of paraphenylenediamine and stability was studied. Using quantum chemistry calculations, the first combination of paraffenylenediamine in a single-full-time region connected with fullerene through carbon atoms was reported. Experimental research was simulated and optimized using GIS software. Then the NBO calculations w...

Suicide is the second leading cause of death and it kills one person in every 40 seconds mostly between age limits 15-29 years. The global official surveys conducted reported higher death rates in low and middle income countries; however, women were affected more than men. Poisoning with chemicals is known to be a preferred method of suicide. The morbidity and mortality data following hair dye ...

The colorimetric identification of pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria in cell culture is commonly performed using the redox mediator N,N,N0,N0-tetramethyl-para-phenylene-diamine (TMPD) in the socalled oxidase test, which indicates the presence of bacterial cytochrome c oxidases. The presented study demonstrates the ability of electrochemistry to employ TMPD to detect bacteria and quantify t...
